Comment Already

Page-a-Day WC - 316 words

National Delurking Week started today. That's right. There is an entire week dedicated to commenting on blogs. I guess the lack of participation epidemic got too out of hand and someone decided to do something about it.

I didn't want to seem like some buzz kill. So, I looked upon my blogroll and noticed an alarming situation. Most of my buddies blogs haven't been updated in months even years. I gasped at this discovery. OK, I'm being a little melodramatic but it's nice to know I'm not the only one who wasn't very blog social last year.

Back to the subject, National Delurking Week means you comment on the blogs you read instead of rummaging through their virtual unmentionables without treating them to a YouTube clip first. You can say whatever you want: hi, Purple People Eater or even boogity boo. Just show them you care.

You know I have a bowling ball that's purple. Your supposed to inscribe bowling balls with your name, but I put "people eater" on it instead. It is my own purple people eater.

My comments increased when I put a recent comment widget on my blog.

As I read more about your development as a writer, I thought about my niece, Amber, who is writing on Opinion Forum. She's only 12, and she writes quite well for her age. What you see on our site is her writing, with only minimal editing.

If you have time, it would be nice if you could leave her a few comments and give her some encouragement. You can find her articles listed here.

You might like her first article, "Vampires."

modernprincess - Cute! I've been bowling a few times but never owned my own ball much less had it inscribed. I guess it's something to think about.

Missy - I'm not exactly worried about whether or not people comment here. But its always nice to hear from readers especially this week.

Tom - I'll be sure and check out her work. Thanks!

Len - Boogity Boo!
